I’ll begin this week with the league’s biggest blowout. After just barely getting by last week with a 2.4 pt win, The Dinamos held nothing back to make sure they got into the win column this week. They trounced Offsides MotherFudger! by 34.72 points. I don’t think it was the seasons largest blowout, but it was the largest this week. Jeremiah’s squad didn’t go down without a fight. The problem was that even with point output of 22.12 from QB Jackson & 28.3 from RB Cook those points were raised and then called by Igor’s boys with 22.06 from QB Herbert, 22.6 from RB Williams, 23.5 from RB Stevenson, I could go on but what’s the point. The Dinamos retake the Jay Division lead with a 5-3 record. The Offsides Mothers find themselves sitting at 4-4 trying to find out which side to stand on. Staying in the Jay Davison The Reckoning stayed on the heals of the Dinamos in the division with a 1.4 point win over Finkle & Einhorn. As the week the goes on the win awarded to The Reckoning could get reversed. When the game ended Sunday it was a 3 pt Reckoning win. But a scoring change by the NFL & Yahoo took 1.6 points away from WR Mooney to shrink the margin of victory. I wonder if Mike didn’t put a phone call into league offices asking, no demanding a recount after everyone else had gone home. However it happened, I hope the folks doing the counting this coming Tuesday night tally the counts correctly. I’m old enough to remember the “hanging chads” in Florida after the 2000 election. As much as I hate to admit it, Mike probably deserved a better fate. But I’m not going to hand over the “W” here just to prove a point. It might be The Reckoning’s last “W.” Last week I said that better days were ahead for Anal Explosion. And they arrived this past weekend. Despite their highest point total of the season, AE’s 176.68 points were almost matched by Big Daddy’s 165.64 output. The 165.64 was fine until the Monday night game after which AE rocketed to victory. I find it interesting that the pre-game projections had this game a snoozer with the outcome projected to be settled by less than 1 point with projected scores by each team of less than 140. In the end Sean’s team had 3 players score over 20 points while Joe’s had 4 players score over 20. Those add up pretty fast.
In the Silent Bob Division, Devils Snare posted a respectable 157 points. At issue though for Nick was he was facing the Sloppy Sparrows. After taking a week off from high frequency scoring, Rory had the Sparrows flying on all wings and ended the week scoring 171.24 points. When you have a QB who scores over 34 points as QB Hurts did and your other QB (Purdy) scores 25 points you find “W’s” easy to come by. Devils Snare were kinda let down by their QB play this week. Even with that guys like RB Achane (26.70), WR Chase (20.40), & WR Harrison (23.10) keep the game interesting. Speaking of interesting, did you all see that comeback by FNG to knock off Sleepy Squad? Oops…….Sunday night I received a threatening phone call from someone disguising their voice telling me “don’t call it a comeback.” Hey, I’m sorry. When you are losing by over 46 points with just WR Lamb & QB Prescott left to play who are on the road facing the 49’ers and those players score 53.22 combined points and you win by 6.47 points, then what DO you call it. I’ll tell you what I call it, come here, lean in close, let me whisper in your ear,
It’s a comeback baby, of epic proportions!

The point total from Brandon’s “Sleeping” Squad was the lowest of the season. At 6-2 Sleepy Squad still has the top record in the league but the Sloppy Sparrows are only 3.40 points behind in total points scored and a game back in the win column. While it’s too early to say who will win the championship, whoever you think will win it, don’t look past the Sparrows. I’m pretty sure I’ve never been in a league that had a back-to-back champion. In fact I know I haven’t. I’m not saying we will see that here but I will not be surprised if we do.
