View Askew Title Round Up

I closed out my prediction for this game saying that I had some doubt that Big Daddy would be our new champ! I needn’t have wondered.

A number of years ago when we were in the NCFFL I kicked off a draft with a power point presentation glorifying our new champion. I forget who actually won, but I know that Big Daddy was in that title game and he did not win. How, one might ask is it that I can remember who lost but not who actually won? Easy. As the presentation went along and came to the slide announcing the championship game and teams, under his breath, Sean P said, “That game was over by halftime.” Well, Sean, the game this weekend was also over by halftime only this time you came out on top! Congratulations!

Brandon had a nice year. Starting in the pre-season with some nice retained players, to blowing through the first four weeks of the season with a 3-1 record. After seven weeks that record swelled to 6-1, then 7-2 before going 3-2 the final five weeks of the season to close out the year with a very compelling record of 10-4, the division title, and nearly the most points title. The season may not have ended with a “W” but it was still a year where any owner would be proud to have had.

Big Daddy started off the year struggling. With just hours prior to game one kick off, it was announced that RB/McCaffrey would not play. Not only did he not play in that game, but he also landed on the IR for over two months. After four weeks and with a record of 1-3 it didn’t look like Big Daddy would earn a playoff spot much less a championship. Three weeks later Biggie D’s record stood at 4-3 and things were looking up.

Not so fast.

Two weeks later that record stood at 4-5. Things all came together the final five weeks of the season where a 4-1 record over that span showed us that Big Daddy was not to be taken lightly.

Here is a position by position breakdown in the View Askew title game.

The game’s MVP award goes to WR/Higgins who scored 40.10 pts to pretty much provide the margin of victory.

Kudos to Sean and his Big Daddy squad!

One more week of the NFL season left. The Browns’ season will officially and mercifully come to a close. Then the NFL’s second season will begin. I still like the Packers, but will be pleased if anyone except Kansas City wins the SB.

Look for our 2025 draft order later this week followed by 2025 Category Players report about week or two after that.

One final note, all the lyrics used this season in my posts are from Micheal Stanley’s music. While man may no longer be with us, his music still lives on. At least to me it does.
