The Reckoning 127.42  Anal Explosion 169.24

 Needing a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive Anal Explosion exploded all over The Reckoning. The Reckoning basically shit, oops. I’m sorry, “pooped” all over themselves suffering their fourth loss in a row. The average margin of victory by their opponents the past four weeks has been 37.37 pts. Early season success is long gone for The Reckoning who are just plain “wrecked”.  Despite their blowout win Anal E can not make the playoffs this season. Injuries piled up to pile drive Anal E to deep in the standings to qualify. 

Big Daddy 137.36   Dinamos 134.10

Big Daddy’s win over the Dinamos should have been by a larger margin than what it was. But QB/Allen and RB/Irving had other ideas scoring 26.42 and 27.50 pts each. If not for a 21.70 pt effort by RB/Jacobs for Big Daddy, the outcome would have been reversed. As it stands, Big Daddy clinched the Jay division title. 

FNG 129.36   Offsides Mother F*****!  169.32

After a 3 and 1 start to the season FNG has gone 2 and 7. Up until this week their point totals have been pretty respectable. But 129.36 pts isn’t going to cut it against Offsides Mother F*****!. I don’t care how far offsides you are or how tough of a mother fu**er you are it would have been impossible to beat the high score of the week. The win by OMF! -secures a playoff spot. FNG is probably not going to qualify for the playoffs.  In all the years I’ve played against FNG I don’t think he has ever fielded a non-playoff team. Though I’m pretty sure SeanH will be pleased with a win by Kirtland in Canton on Saturday morning.

Finkle & Einhorn 158.14   Sloppy Sparrows 153.10

I think I said that I thought the Sloppy Sparrows would beat Finkle & Einhorn but that one of my models showed a F&E win. That was the case. However. . .Had QB/Winston thrown a third pick six Monday night against Denver, the Sparrows would have won. Not to take anything away from the combined 51.3 pts scored by F&E’s RB’s, but RB/Dobbins landing on the IR really hurt the Sparrows. The win by F&E puts them in the playoffs while the loss by the Sparrows just means they can no longer win the Silent Bob division.

Devils Snare 166.62   Sleepy Squad 141.16

Sleepy Squad sleep walked their way through this game. While the loss doesn’t hurt them, as they have their division wrapped up, it was their point total that stings. Devils Snare went into the game 13.94 pts behind Sleepy Squad in the most pts title. Not only did Devils Snare 25.46 margin of victory provide them the W, a likely probable near certainty playoff spot, AND…now have a 11.52 pt lead in the most pts race. That title would pay Nick’s league fees just as the division title will pay Brandon’s. 

Week 14 Preview, Bye Week Hell (pt2)

Week 14. This is bye week hell part 2. I don’t know who makes up the NFL schedule, but I’m not a fan of them. Another six teams are on a bye this week. I remember during the draft when we (The Reckoning) drafted QB/Daniels in round 6. That meant we had 2 QB’s on a bye in week 14. Our plan was to use QB/Darnold whom we retained in R14 as our bye week qb and draft 2 starting QB’s. Since my co-owner’s sister attends The University of Tennessee I was familiar with Jayden Daniels and his play in the SEC. I really wanted him for The Reckoning. Maybe I strong armed my co-owner who is also my son but he allowed us to draft QB/Daniels despite the week 14 bye week issue. All along mentally I chalked the week up to a loss. <> Now The Reckoning is in need of a win over the Dinamos to even their record at 7-7 heading into the playoffs and to stop a four game losing skid. For their part the Dinamos are looking for a win to even their record as well. One team will be disappointed. Yahoo says the Dinamos will win. Surprisingly all of my models say that The Reckoning will win. I don’t know what to think here. I’ll take a Reckoning win, I just don’t think it’s going to happen <> The Big Daddy and Devils Snare match up “could” be a View Askew title preview game. Neither team “needs” the win. However, Devils Snare is in position to win the most points title. Both teams have to navigate the bye week scenario but appear to have everything covered. Yahoo & my models agree that this looks like it could be a tough one for Big Daddy to win. Devils Snare should even their record at 7-7 going into the playoffs.<> The game between FNG and the Sloppy Sparrows now has playoff seeding implications only for the Sloppy Sparrows. Should FNG get an upset win, the Sparrows will probably have to face the Silent Bob division winner in the opening round of the playoffs in their defense of the 2023 title. FNG is severely handicapped by the bye week and that might be a challenge. Sparrows for the win. And my models agree. <> Finkle & Einhorn go into the final week of the regular season as one of the four teams looking to even their record at 7-7 heading into the playoffs. I could say that it should be an easy task against their opponent, Anal Explosion. But AE blew the shit….oops, I’m sorry, blew the poop and beat the pee out of The Reckoning last week. In fact Anal E has scored over 160 pts five times this season. So I know they are a capable team.  F&E has some serious bye week issues to deal with. Models & Yahoo are calling it, but with a lower score than last week, for Anal Explosion. <> The game between Sleepy Squad and Offsides Mother F*****! could be a tune up for the semi-finals in the playoffs. A OFM! win would give both teams identical 9-5 records and identical 5-3 divisional records. However Sleepy Squad holds a 153.94 point lead in total points. Brandon has extra incentive to go along with the $50 division title payout. He is just 11.52 point behind Nick in the most points title and the $50 that goes along with that. Jeremiah is in his rookie season hanging out with us here in View Askew league and done pretty well. I’m sure he would like nothing better than to win the title in his first season with us. I wonder what he thinks of us and the league. Maybe he can comment below? I think the bye week issue is to big to overcome. My models think this game is closer that Yahoo. But Brandon’s sleepers still take the win.
